    Hi there fellow Oggers,
I've merely downloaded my inventory and made some edits to the "comments" field inside the csv file but was wondering if I re-upload it, will it overwrite my existing inventory or duplicate everything?

I'm also not sure if SOLD items volition be fabricated For Auction again?

Anyone know how to overwrite it without duplicating? I don't want to mess this up. Also wondering if in that location are whatsoever pitfalls/snags that I need to know well-nigh? I unremarkably detect out these theings by trial & error but this is a bit daunting for me as I've never done it earlier. Is it really every bit simple as just pressing the upload button?

I'm as well non sure if SOLD items will exist made For Auction again?

Important: All inventory items will default to "For Sale" status once your inventory has been uploaded. Make certain you delete all "Sold" items from your inventory earlier uploading the file.

  • Underafiver over 4 years agone

OK thanks, I will delete sold items. Not entirely sure what you mean by "listing ID" though. Practice you lot mean the name of the file?

  • BackBayRecords over iv years ago

Have the download file and delete whatsoever items which are sold or draft. That should leave you with just for sale items.

Change the comments field as you lot please and save the file as a new csv.

Every item has a unique listing id (the first column of your download) as long as yous select "change listing details" in the majority upload and make sure that your listing id field is still in that location, then the upload will only overwrite annihilation you modify e.g. comments and will not create a indistinguishable.

And don't forget , if you make a mistake you will nevertheless have your original download that you started with to put everything right.

This is getting a flake tangled up....
I was originally showing the files I copied from the CSVs simply and then I was asked to show a re-create of them using notepad. There are no quotation marks or commas in the CSV live file or the replacement CSV merely in that location are quotation marks & commas in the live & replacement files if I open them with notepad.

The biggest problem is not the char gear up. It is, at the OP is mixing everything up and are not flowing the guidelines he has been provided.
