Jay Versace (@jayversace)
Whether creating memes about human behavior, poking fun at pop culture (watch out, Disney Channel movies!), or just sharing his experiences as a young black American, Versace's humor has prompted his following to climb to 2.2 million. Recently, he donned wigs and recreated the dinner-table fart sequence from Eddie Murphy's The Nutty Professor, and outdid the original.

Bretman Rock (@bretmanrock)
There's not a whole lot this sassy, makeup-loving Asian can't do. Often recording himself from home, Rock posts everything from fierce full-beat selfies and hilarious faux conversations with friends to dance routines with his dog and frustrated chats with babies. A recent highlight was a DIY runway show which saw him turn his beloved yellow blanket into multiple killer looks.

Sebastian Tribbie (@youvegotnomale)
No celebrity (or anyone else, for that matter) is safe from Tribbie, a meme-generating machine who's used popular images of celebrities to share what's really on his—and usually your—mind. Lindsay Lohan is one of his favored targets, but a recent triumph was his take on Celine Dion's much buzzed-about, semi-awkward couture, particularly a certain head-to-toe snakeskin look. Tribbie's caption: "Hangs out with Nicki Minaj once..."

Matt Wilkas (@mwilkas)
When he's not posting steamy pics with beau Gus Kenworthy or goofball selfies with his actor bestie Jenn Harris, Wilkas is usually adding to the self-made series he's best known for on Instagram: misadventures with his female "Emoji Roommate," Stephanie. Appearing on screen together, Matt and his roomie go through the same struggles we all do, such as when Stephanie needs decide whether she should send someone pics of her nude body parts...which are also emojis.

Cameron Esposito (@cameronesposito)
Really, while Esposito has the higher profile, this entry should be devoted to both her and her wife, Rhea Butcher (@rheabutcher), who's also her partner in standup-comedy crime. The couple loves to play twin games on Esposito's account (while Esposito apes iconic looks from the likes of Tom Selleck), and their dual tour, "Back to Back," will be hitting stages across the country this fall.

Tommy Lenk (@tommylenk)
A true master of DIY mimicry, Lenk is best known for grabbing pics of notable looks (typically from female celebs), recreating them with whatever he has around (c'mon, pipe cleaners!), and then posting split-screen images of the originals alongside his wild re-imaginings. Proving the new Celine Dion is the gift that won't stop giving, she's lately been Lenk's go-to muse.

John Early (@bejohnce)
Some of the funniest posts from this comedian, who's appeared on TV's 30 Rock and Search Party, have been pairings with him and the hilarious Kate Berlant (@kateberlant), with whom he created the original Vimeo series 555. But on his own, Early can be seen reposting his live performances and on-point lip syncs, while also mocking Trump in self-made videos where, for instance, he'll use comedy as crisis diffusion with upbeat remarks like, "Climate change is gay!"

Branden Miller (@joannethescammer)
Where to begin? Miller's alter-ego, the bewigged and fur-rocking Joanne, is a brilliant fictional creation whose entire life philosophy is built around how she can "scam" others, be they men, celebrities, Coachella attendees, or even you, the everyday viewer. Miller's brand is a great way to safely throw shade ("It's not me; it's Joanne!"), but for many, the ultimate scam is that, beneath that busted drag, there's a truly beautiful stud.

Greg Mania (@gregmania)
Mania's chosen hairstyle suggests a peroxide-blonde Eraserhead (his explanation is "I combed my hair with a grenade"), and he pairs that aesthetic on Instagram with regular screengrabs of his Twitter posts, which are often rife with self-deprecation, adulting struggles, and pop culture critique. A recent gem: "I'm not entirely convinced that ed sheeran isn't 2 urban outfitters managers who sing in a band standing on top of each other under a trench coat."

Ryan Page (@ryanwalkerpage)
Technically, Page isn't a comedian—he's an LA-based dancer, performance artist, and pseudo-contortionist who's closely linked to West Coast queer icons like Love Bailey. But as his Instagram feed shows, his work is almost always streaked with humor (dancer numbers often end with him falling on his ass), and we're living for his rabid, melodramatic obsession with Lana Del Rey, whose songs he regularly lip syncs while rocking epic wigs.

Jimmy Fowlie (@jimmyfowlie)
Los Angeles-based comedian Fowlie has a knack for replicating himself in his posts, often creating videos where he's leading an improv class full of characters—all of them played by him. But his recent claim to fame is a harebrained idea that hugely paid off: Inspired by the movie La La Land, Fowlie breathed life into So Long, Boulder City, the ill-fated one-woman show from Emma Stone's character, Mia, whom Fowlie plays in a mock production that he also wrote. It not only raised his profile; it made headlines in trade mags across Hollywood. (Photography: Casey Kringlen)

Johnny Sibilly (@johnnysibilly)
Actor Sibilly has used his Instagram account as an anything-goes extension of his profession, where he can emphatically lip sync to Gaga, show you how to make the hilarious best of a Snapchat filter, or create multiple characters of his own. Our favorite, by far, is Ina, an aging, disgruntled magazine editrix who's taken it upon herself to school millennials on the real tea of modern culture. "Naomi Campbell's temper is 'iconic,'" Ina tells us. "You're just 'trending.'"
